Launching Multiple Businesses Starting at 25

Venturing into the unknown and launching multiple businesses starting at age 25… Welcome to this unscripted and candid episode, where I’ll be sharing my career journey of the past 16 years. It all started when I was thrown into the grueling and cut-throat world of PR at the young age of 20. The challenges I faced as a foreigner trying to break into the PR industry in London were both daunting and eye-opening. But I persevered, and today, I’m excited to take you through the ups and downs of relocating back to South Africa and starting my first of a couple of businesses at the age of 25. So, tune into this episode and let’s dive into this honest conversation about my journey to becoming the entrepreneur that I am today.

A Grueling Start: Immersed in the World of PR at Age 20
Back when I was just 20 years old, I found myself thrust into the intense and demanding world of PR. The experiences I had in those early days shaped my career and taught me valuable lessons that would stay with me forever.

London Bound: Breaking into the PR Industry as a Foreigner
Leaving my comfort zone, I decided to take a leap and move to London to chase my PR dreams. But little did I know, the challenges of breaking into the PR industry as a foreigner were waiting for me. After all, PR is all about connections and I had no cooking clue who the UK press were or who the “celebrities” were…so who would employ me in the senior role I was seeking, without this knowledge. It was a rollercoaster ride of determination and resilience, and I’ll take you through the details in this episode.

Starting My First Business at 25:
Fast forward through the epic, crazy, and challenging London days, I found myself back in South Africa, at age 25 with a super strong desire to start a PR agency that was on the same standards as the forward-thinking and creative London agencies (because this was non-existent in South Africa back in 2013).

Being an entrepreneur comes with its highs and lows. I’ll share the rollercoaster ride of triumphs and struggles that I experienced while building my businesses, providing you with a candid look behind the scenes.

Looking Back and Embracing the Future
As I reflect on my career journey, I can’t help but appreciate the growth and personal transformation it brought. Join me as I discuss my vision and aspirations for the future, both personally and professionally.
