As a Startup Strategist, and Investor, with over 15 years of international PR and Digital Marketing experience, I have had the privilege of founding multiple businesses, including a highly successful boutique PR agency that thrived for over 7 years.
In 2020, I sold my agency shares to embark on a new venture by launching Stream, allowing me to wholeheartedly focus on assisting startups in their in scaling their businesses.
My career in PR began with a promising start when I won the ‘Best up-and-coming PR Professional’ award in 2010. At the age of 25 I founded the PR consultancy Butter Knife PR, and together my business partner and I scaled the company into becoming one of the most sought-after boutique PR agencies in South Africa.
Running a results-driven agency for seven years was still one of my biggest learnings and career achievements, including highlights such as supporting Australian retail giant The Cotton On Group launch over 300 stores and managing the PR for Edward Snell for over three years, assisting in driving 20% year on year growth for their alcohol portfolio, including brands such as Glenfiddich, Grant’s and The Balvenie.
Furthermore, my experience in the UK offered incredible growth and experience in executing international campaigns such as managing the communications for Samsung at the 2012 London Summer Olympics and representing renowned brands such as Universal Pictures, Colgate, Palmolive and Ferrero Roche.
